Kaaterskill Falls Kaaterskill Falls is located in the Catskill Mountains, in the town of Hunter 12441, Greene County in the Hudson Valley. Kaaterskill Falls is a two-drop waterfall located in the eastern Catskill Mountains of New York, on the north side of Kaaterskill Clove, between the hamlets of Haines Falls and Palenville. The dual cascades total 260 feet (79 m) in height, making it one of the higher waterfalls in New York, and one of the taller waterfalls in the eastern United States.

The Kaaterskill Falls are one of America's oldest tourist attractions, with it appearing in some of the most prominent books, essays, poems and paintings of the early 19th century. Long before Alexis de Tocqueville's famous essay on America, Kaaterskill Falls was lauded as a place where a traveler could see a wilder image, a sort of primeval Eden. Beginning with Thomas Cole's first visit in 1825, they became an icon subject for painters of the Hudson River School, setting the wilderness ideal for American landscape painting. The word is Hiking through the Catskills, on the way to Kaaterskill Falls, is Bastion Falls. Although smaller and not as dramatic as Kaaterskill Falls, Bastion Falls, 30 feet high, is quite striking and beautiful. Be sure to spend some time enjoying this smaller fall.

The Carousel at Central Park Central Park's first carousel was built in 1870. After a long search the Parks Department discovered the present vintage Carousel. The Carousel is one of the largest in the United States, with 58 hand-carved, painted horses. Stein and Goldstein were among the foremost carvers of their day and the horses – nearly life-size in the outer ring – are caught rearing or mid-stride with almost fierce reality.
The Carousel today still holds its magic charm, with almost 250,000 riders a year. Both adults and children enjoy the scale of the horses and the brisk speed of the ride. During warm weather the admissions line snakes around hot dog and popcorn vendors, recalling the atmosphere of a country fair.
North Meadow Recreation Center at Central Park. The North Meadow Recreation Center, south of the Meadow, was originally built as stables. It was converted to a recreation facility in the early 1990s. At 23 acres, the North Meadow is the Park's largest open space, punctuated only by the clay fans of ballfields.

Above The Clouds is a special attraction, located in the lower Hudson River Valley at Middletown, NY 10941. A hot air balloon ride isn't something you'll do every weekend. Safety has always been our #1 priority. Ballooning is limited to times of good weather and light winds. If the weather doesn't cooperate with us on the day of your flight, we'll reschedule with you for another time. Each pilot is certified by the FAA with a commercial license and attends an annual safety seminar. In addition, all pilots receive a bi-annual safety flight review to ensure proficiency.
The Lower Hudson Valley Our flying area is one of the most beautiful in the country. We have rolling green hills, small towns, lakes and streams. On most morning flights we'll spot deer and Red Tailed hawks! On a calm and clear day, we can easily pick out the New York City Skyline. Town Tinker Tube Rental is located at 10 Bridge Street, Phoenicia NY 12464, Ulster County in the Hudson Valley. "Since the days of Tom Sawyer and Huck Finn, the image of floating down a river on a hot summer day has always created a sense of adventure. Located in the heart of the Catskill Mountains is a five-mile stretch of river that has become one of the most popular tubing courses around. People come from all over to ride the rapids and drift with the current as the Esopus Creek winds through the beautiful mountains and greenery of the Catskills.
"Town Tinker has two courses, novice and expert. As the name implies, the novice course is for first-time tubers and those who prefer a gentler ride down the creek; the expert course is for more experienced tubers. Each course is about 2 1/2 miles long and each takes about 2 hours. The novice course begins near the Town Tinker headquarters on Bridge Street. This course has a variety of exciting rapids, fun flumes, and calmer stretches just made for drifting. At the end of this course, our Town Tinker Tube Taxis will be your transportation back to Bridge Street.
"The expert course, which is definitely more challenging and contains the best of the whitewater, begins 2 1/2 miles upstream from headquarters. Transportation to the entry point is by Town Tinker Tube Taxis. Along the expert course, you'll encounter larger, faster sets of rapids with names like "Railroad Rapids" and "The Chute"."
