The Southern Westchester Board of Cooperative Educational Services (SW BOCES) was established in 1948 by the New York State Commissioner of Education and the Board of Regents to provide shared educational and management services to schools and school districts in our geographic region. Special Act Districts are created by separate and special acts of the New York State Legislature.
