AMBER Alert The AMBER Alert™ Program is a voluntary partnership between law-enforcement agencies, broadcasters, transportation agencies, and the wireless industry, to activate an urgent bulletin in the most serious child-abduction cases. The goal of an AMBER Alert is to instantly galvanize the entire community to assist in the search for and the safe recovery of the child. DARE The Harrison Police Department is proud to be a part of the D.A.R.E. America Program. We have participated and taught the D.A.R.E. program in partnership with the Harrison Central School District for over 20 years. Through D.A.R.E. we have been able to provide our Town’s youth with the information and skills necessary to live drug and violence free lives. D.A.R.E also allows the Police Department to create positive relationships between law enforcement and students, their families, and teachers.
