The Town of Rye is comprised of two discontiguous areas; with the City of Rye separating the Village of Mamaroneck to the south, from the villages of Port Chester and Rye Brook to the north and northeast. A part of Mamaroneck lies partially in the Town of Rye and is known as Rye Neck. The Town of Rye should not be confused with the City of Rye. Rye Brook and Port Chester border Connecticut to the east; and the Long Island Sound to the south.
